There are several ways to bind an attunement to a weapon or armor. In order to use an attunement on a weapon or armor, the player must first bind it to one of their Max Attunement slots. For example, a player may want to use an attunement that increases attack power, while wearing armor that provides defensive bonuses. The Max Attunement slots are used to bind specific attunements to weapons and armor, in order to optimize their performance. This means that players can have a maximum of 36 different attunements active at any one time. Each player is allocated 12 slots at the start of the game, and the remaining 24 slots are earned through various means, such as defeating bosses and completing objectives. Next is 29 (or what ever) and it either increases or it doesn't.There are a total of 36 Max Attunement slots in Dark Souls 2. As in you hit 14 attunement is one, and some things gain at this point, others do not. But it looks like the 9 number increases might all be in the same range. It is different per spell/miracle however. I'll post back when I get the second increase and post what my attunement is. So when I had 22 I thought I had 12 for one and 10 for the other. I was under the impression it was per spell, not per slot. I thought I already had the second casting slot, but I was confused at the time because I had two slots with the same thing already filled. And I am only the second number of cast uses. I have 16 attunement, which is the 3 slots. If I remove two and just have one, I only have 11 casts. I have 3 slots, all using the same thing, lightning bolt. Some of the more powerful spells have much smaller casts like Soul Geyser, Uses: 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 3. They are laid out like this: Lightning Spear Uses: 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 20.Įach one has its own set of uses numbers that progress differently.

I assume its the extra spell casts.As it just says Uses: x x x x x x x.

But it doesn't say anywhere what they mean. And it has a list of numbers on top of each spell.
